1. Water is Good for You

It aids digestion – good digestion. Being able to digest food easily begins with chewing. Saliva in the mouth mixes properly with the food which helps to digest the food. Saliva contains important enzymes that help to break down foods into the nutrients it’s made up of. Also, if food is not broken down properly, your body will find it more difficult to digest, and this can easily lead to indigestion and irregular bowl movements.

3. Reduce Salt in Your Diet

An important piece of healthy eating diet advice is that you should cook with less salt. Before cooking any meal or recipe, always ask yourself if this is one that can be cooked with no salt. Many foods have natural salt content in them, so do not need much added salt.

However, it is important to take care not to cook out the natural salt content in the foods. Do that, and you’re forced to add more salt and salty seasoning to make it taste nice! A diet with high salt content promotes high blood pressure, which is again a risk factor for heart-disease.

4. Wide Variety of Fruits and Veg

Eat a mixture of colourful fruits and vegetables. They help to eliminate all the toxic wastes in the body. Fruits and vegetables are fortified withnutrients, and contain a whole lot of vitamins and minerals that the body needs to function properly. Many of them are rich in anti-oxidants. They’re also very good for your skin.

5. Cut down on Meat

If you are not a vegan, eat more naturally, organic oily fish in place of red meats. These other alternatives contain less fat than red meat does. Red meat contains a lot of fat (saturated) – beef, kidney, steak. There are lots of studies suggesting that diseases thrive more in a red-meat, acidic environment. White meats such as chicken and turkey are widely believed to have a little bit less fat. Wild fish contains good fats and essential fats that are needed for the body and the brain.

Otherwise if you are a vegan or vegetarian, you must ensure you are getting enough healthy oils to provide you with essential fatty acids. Seeds are great sources.
